8th – 10th week in Finland

So this has been 3 long weeks, and even though I thought that I should have more time to write, the last 3 weeks have been even more intense than I could have imagined. It has happened so much and it is thus first now that I even find some time to write it all down. The 8th week was a super intense study week, almost every day I did nothing but study all the time. I finalized reports and worked on projects before their deadline. Unfortunately I also became sick just before this week and the long days and…

2nd week in Finland

This week started out with me getting sick, it was not too bad but I coughed for several days and I didn’t attend any parties for this period. But my classes started and since I didn’t want to miss the first lectures I went to them anyway. The courses feel like they’re going to be very interesting. Right now I’m taking 3 different courses, one called the development of server-side web services, in which we’ll among other things use python and Django to create a basic eBay-clone. One called experimentation in computer science and engineering, in which we’ll learn how…

Programming in C – Selection

Introduction This is the third part of a 12 part series of blog posts about programming in the C language. This tutorial will guide you through learning C programming, but since there are already a lot of different tutorials out there on the web to learn the basics of programming I’ll not give you yet another tutorial on the exact same thing. These tutorials will instead give you a small description of the different pieces making up the C language. It will give you some links to learn the absolute basics and then continue with a discussion. My hope is…

Ryzen 2400G, a great (APU) processor when on a budget

I might be a bit late but I just found out that the Ryzen 2400G has been released. With its VEGA 11 graphics and 4 core CPUs with a 3.9GHZ turbo boost at only 1500 SEK, I think the world of performance and gaming have entered the budget market! You who know me probably know…

My new Sony MDR-1000X headphones rules!

After walking around without a good headset for a long time now I finally decided to get a really good pair of headphones. I used to have a pair of really good Sennheiser when I was 14 until I was 18 which had a great base, distinct middle registers and overall a really good sound. Then I used to wear my headset almost all the time and eventually the cord broke after all wear and tear. Since then I’ve used a lot of different headsets, one which was good named the Razer Kraken, but that had a very game-y feel…

Looking at things can be a great way to plan or waste time

I often find myself looking at different things. It can be a new musical instrument such as a banjo, an accordion, a keyboard or some drums. It can be different furniture or things that make sense that I might need such as clothes or kitchen apparel. But most often I look at different kinds of electronics. I don’t know why I do it, but it’s like I instinctively enter the website to the electronics store when I start my browser, no matter if it’s on my laptop or on my phone. Most often I look at computers, computer parts, other…
