6th week in Finland

It’s now the 6th week in Finland and suddenly I can really feel that the autumn has come. It’s beginning to get colder in general, the leaves have shifted color and started to fall, and everyone seems to be increasingly more busy with university assignments and exam preparations. During this week the tempo has in many ways felt like it’s slowing down just a bit. I’ve been mostly at work with different studies but have also been able to pay for a Finnish sitz, discussed details about the thesis work in Jokojo and been to a Fantasy sitz at Nyländska…

4th and 5th week in Finland

So now it’s been aproximately two weeks since my last blog post. This is due to a lot of stuff happening and that when I finally found time to write last week I decided that it was a little too far into the week. Therefore you now get this two-week special issue blog post instead! 🙂 During the 4th week in Finland, I went to the rector’s dinner. It was quite nice and there were both speakers holding speeches and a lot of good food and wine. There was also a moment of thanking our tutors for their great work…

3rd week in Finland

So this week I feel like I’ve started to really get the feeling of that I’m actually living here. It has been progressing slowly but now I can find my way around in the city quite easily using different landmarks. I barely need the map anymore for finding the regular places, only when trying to find some new building or spot where I’ve not been much or ever before. I think this sense of localization is due to that I’m walking almost everywhere I’m going. I don’t really feel the need to take the bus since most places I’m going…

24

Today I’m turning 24 years old. Happy birthday to me! I think that for each year time seems to have been going faster. It seems like just a short while ago that I turned 23, but that’s only until I start to think about all the things that have happened during the year.

Sometimes even games for mobile phones can be good, especially if it’s a Harry Potter game!

So I’ve just found a great game to play on the go. The (still kind of new I guess) Harry Potters wizarding world game! Just like most other games for the phone you’ll have to wait and click a lot, and if you’re impatient you can buy progress. But even if you don’t do that I think that so far this is a great game to play even without paying anything. As long as you play with moderation and allow it to take some time you’ll be fine. So what is the gameplay all about? In the game you create…

Walk at red rock

Today was a calm day at my parent’s house which started with a great Easter brunch. There were herring, egg and cheese sandwiches and other things you’d expect in an easter meal. After brunch, we decided to take a walk at red rock. This is a place in Gothenburg that is famous for its red rock, which might not feel like much of a surprise. During the walk, I found some quite interesting things to take photos of, and I only took one picture of the red rock. During the trip, we also went by car through different areas in Gothenburg.…
